I have been working in the industry on a wide variety of design projects ranging from traditional print to tech.

(No, I didn’t run out of a job. Pursuing my Masters was always on the list and it is very useful).

In my home country, art and design are side-lined subjects in academics. I sought knowledge of the subject outside the education system before pursuing  Bahcelors and a Masters degree in design. Even among the educated, most people are under-read about the importance of design, despite the rich culture in art. I have hence valued every opportunity to create.

I believe that the onus of using design for empowerment is hence on people like me who have had the passion and opportunity to pursue design. Right from visual story-telling of problems, to creating visual solutions to problems- design has the power to drive the basic functioning of the society. Design helps me address problems by visually voicing an opinion to help any given situation.
